Vulcan laid by the river. "Why is it so boring here?" He asked a fish in the water. The fish kept swimming. "I thought you would say that." Vulcan had no clue why he was talking to fish. It depressed him that he was so lonely that he was doing that. The wolf stood up and waded into the river, looking for a fish to chase or a bird to follow or something. Anything. Truth was, Vulcan was overreacting. There were plenty of things to do in the area. He just wasn't looking too hard yet. The wolf poked his head underwater and spotted a fish. He came up for air, then dove down again and caught the fish. He threw the fish onto dry land. It eventually stopped wiggling around and Vulcan got out of the water. He laid down by the fish and started to eat, not really thinking about if another wolf came along and asked for food or any of that stuff. He had convinced himself the amount of wolves in the area was scarce, and they would never come across him... Right?

Kitara crouched down low, her tail low to the ground as she watched her prey. Flattening her ears, she pounced and overshot the butterfly she was aiming for, soaring over the rock. Using her magic to catch herself before she hit the ground, she floated over to the river. There, she saw a different kind of prey. The edible kind.
Grinning to herself, she plunged into to the deep river, catching a fish and then paddling to the shore. Putting the fish down away from the river, she shook out her fur, causing it to change colors wildly before blinking her pure black eyes.
"FOOD!" she half yelled, pouncing on the still struggling fish and taking a large chunk out of it which she nearly swallowed whole. She had forgotten to eat for a few days, getting too distracted by what was around her. Maybe that's why she was not big like the rest of her family. Shaking the thought from her head, she returned to the fish, the bones crunching in her teeth.
After having finished the fish, she looked up to see a wolf only a few yards in front of her. Jumping up, her tail wagging, Kitara trotted over to the new comer.
"Hello!" she yelled, though he was right next to her. She was a very loud, playful wolf, especially for one of her age.

"Aah!" Vulcan jumped up. He was so busy doing that horrible thing called 'thinking' that he didn't notice the she-wolf. He jumped up in surprise, wings slightly flapping in a nervous fashion. "Oh, hello..." Vulcan started to smile, but it quickly turned to wide-eyed stare. The other wolf's fur was changing color! What kind of magic was this? His wings started flapping again. Vulcan stopped the flapping. He didn't want to appear like a little weak thing to the she-wolf. He really didn't want to appear that way to anyone. Vulcan wished his brother was here. The little guy might've been able to help him figure out who the other wolf was. Since his brother was not there, he tried asking directly. "Who are you?" [Sorry if it's short, my muse flew out the window today. T.T]]
