the mountains

The mountains here are dangerous and snow covered, providing no true purpose to the pack other then for the annual caribou migration. They cross through the mountains and onto the plains, so the Hazriel pack waits for them at the mouth of the mountains so they can block them off and hunt. Only the bravest, and the banished go here free willingly. Many wolves have died trekking through due to hidden snow caves that have been covered by layers of ice.
