Though this be madness

Anyone who had ever had a moment where they hadn’t a clue where they were or how they arrived at a place would have a glimpse into the migrant life of the one called Karma. Her wanderings were normal for that of one without a home, yet most would keep track of their movements in case backtracking was needed. Karma thought nothing like this. Instead the she-wolf always found herself waking in the mornings to new surprises and blatant bewilderment. There was no masking her apparent lack of directional skills either. It was just a cruel twist of fate that she would be one forced to travel, when doing so only caused this illogical girl all the more confusion. But I regress; Karma had no such hard feelings. In every retrospect, it was a most handsome day. A picturesque landscape to boot would set most in high spirits and one little female was no different than others, at least in this perspective. Karma had set out earlier on this fine spring day, her awakening just a spectacular as usual.
She had awoken underneath a great tree in which had roots that she could squeeze under. Of course, she faintly remembered wriggling her way under one of these massive lines as the moon began to finish its arch, but it hadn’t mattered. In the light, the tree was much more interesting than it had been in the dark. A looming shadow made it feel as though dusk was forever here. The trunk itself took more than a few steps to circulate, but as per you may have guessed, Karma’s curiosity would not allow her to move on without doing so. However many century this beast had been here, it had weathered them admirably. Scars were bore proudly while a crowning of branches set this single entity as the sole ruler of the area. “My my, sir.” Karma started, “What a pretty little kingdom you have.” It was a tone of true reverence, a sweeping bow was followed. When she picked herself up, her head tilted to the side as she attempted to see from ground to the tip of a low-hanging branch. Futile as the effort was, she sat there for more than a small number of moments before moving on.
With the sovereign tree still fresh in her mind, Karma took to a path that existed only in her psyche. A left here, a right there, stop and look both ways around that place, make a circle now, roll in the clover. If anyone had been following her they would have been utterly lot and confused. Yet, through her unfounded directions, she had a reason of sorts. If she had nowhere to be, any path was the right way. Some may have disagreed with her, but no one was here to voice those discrepancies. Even if they had been, the words wouldn’t have made since as she grasped tightly to her own set of logical rules.
Her wanderings led her to a lake. Into a lake would probably be a more accurate description. Her mind had drifted into a state of aloofness and had allowed her body to move without guidance. Thus, her direction led her to the banks of a grand lake and straight into the waters. The chilled liquid rearly reached the underside of her belly and snapped a since of recognition into her as a temporary increased lapse in sanity ensued. Karma’s mind allowed a short panic to wash over her, causing the femme to lose her precarious footing on the loose stones. Her form submerged into the water less than gracefully. After a brief struggle to find her legs again, the lithe form threw her head from the lake. Standing stock still dripping wet and cooled by the spring air, the grown wolf seemed to pout at the mere. It was her own fault that she was in this state, but to her, the tarn was at fault too. Why did the water have to be so wet? However, her anger was short-lived. Minnows darted past her feet, giving a distraction. Her maw fell open as her tongue lolled around when she exposed the gigantic grin on her face.
