My first suggestion is something pretty simple to set up, and comes in handy, especially for new members. I would like to suggest an open threads thread. I don't think we have one. It would go in the plotting board and be pinned, and people could respond with links to their open threads that they'd like someone to join.
My second suggestion is having a little list of all the active packs with links to either the pack's board or it's info thread, or maybe both. Having the number of members in each pack beside it's name and links would be handy too. Then guests could quickly see all the packs, and the number of members in each. If you wanted to get really complicated you could also have a quick list of any big events happening in each pack, with links to the plot or ic thread.
Lastly, I'd like to say I think you should up the number of wolves needed before you can form a pack, just so we don't get thirty packs with only two members in each. But, that's just my opinion. I don't really care about the second to, but I do think having an open threads thread would be great.

Suggestions noted.
I agree that we should have an active threads thread. I thought about putting them in the sidebar, but it would have crowded it up, so a thread would be a good way to go.
As for the packs list, I think we should put that in a table at the top of the site. OR IT COULD BE A CATEGORY HEADER FOR THE TERRITORIES CATEGORY. Accaliaaaa!
And as for upping the number of wolves required for a new pack, I would rather close pack creation altogether if there are too many tiny packs...but I guess it wouldn't be too big of a deal to require three wolves.

What? Me? You wanted me? Oh, hi. Yeah, I agree. I like active threads. It could be an announcement, that way it could be easy to see. You mean... like where it says 'Pack Territories' as the category title, putting a little pack summary on that image? Hmm. I'm not sure... might look messy, with the amount of packs we have. I could do it if you wanted me to do it, though. A site I know does it really beautifully with a little list thingy on the sidebar. I think sidebar is a good way to go. I do think we should maybe be doing more to regulate creation/claiming of packs, because some of the packs are looking a little messy. Maybe there should be the same requirements for claiming a pack as creating it - get all the info approved etc...? I think three is a good number. Three is solid. Anybody can find one random person to support them, but three begins to show that it's a strong idea. What I personally would do is make a little 'packs' sidebar box, containing a cool hideshow thingy. An image for each pack, click on the image and it shows the pack's info (membercount and quick summary). What could be REALLY cool is having each pack choose a colour- like a flag. That way all the little sidebar things could be rainbow-coloured, with a colour for each pack. If that happens, I CLAIM PURPLE FOR AURORA CAELI Or we could just have a little 'packs summary' thread, containing the list of packs, basic summary, membercounts, where the pack lives, link to their board/info threads, etc. It could have other stuff in it too, like maybe a relations table (showing who's allied with / enemies with whom?) Just thoughts.

What I meant for the packs thing was, there's a way to put a table between two categories and I thought we could put one above the Pack Territories category. But idk, the sidebar would be fine, I guess.
And I suppose I'm fine with upping the required number for packs. Three for new territories, two to claim an empty one?
I love the idea of pack flags. Cascadia calls green!

Pack colors/flags would be awesome! You could also change the color of the pack's board title to it's flag color so it's all matchy matchy Oh, and Solis wants red! For the pack stats list thingy mabob, you could also put a tabbed table at the top of the home page, with a tab for each pack. I also like Accalia's idea of having the side table list with the image links. Whatever you decide on!

Ahhh, I understand now. I haven't met the table between two categories code before, and I wasn't sure what you were talking about. Although it could definitely be done, I could hunt down the code. I can do either if you want. I would be a little wary though as it could go the same way as the category splitter... Yes, I agree with 3 and 2. I quite like the idea of a tabbed table, too. We could show the packs in it - one pack per tab, etc. We could get people to submit one-sentence-only descriptions as part of their pack creation/claiming, and then put them as a little summary. We could have links to territory, and leaders, and whatever. Like... Coloured tab - pack name - what it may be shortened to, just so people don't get confused? maybe? - led by (link to profile) - lives in the (link to territory board) - one sentence summary Purple tab - Aurora Caeli Alliance - usually shortened to ACA if OOC, and the Alliance IC - led by Majara Lyta - lives in the Steppe - a pack of honour, courage and freedom Green tab - Cascadia Tribe - usually called Cascadia - led by Shaman Yiska and Chieftess Kenai - lives in the montane forest - a pack of kindness and acceptance? I think? I am getting that from the info page but I may be wrong Red tab - Solis - just Solis - led by Mother Firenze - lives in the desert - a family-orientated close-knit pack... I think? Again, I am getting that from the info page but I may be wrong Is this sounding acceptable? If we did it as a tabbed table, the tabs could be coloured. If we did it in the sidebar, I could do a cool hide-show thing. A little list of images, just under the width of the sidebar and 20/30px high, in the pack's colour, with the name on in a cool font. When you click the image, it shows a little summary of the pack, with leader, territory, one-sentence summary, and so on. In the summary there could be a link to the full info page, so that an interested person could read more about the pack.

Sounds cool. I'll write up a new form for claiming empty territories.
Let's try both the hide/show clickies in the sidebar and the table between categories, to see which one looks better. I have a feeling the sidebar will. But you never know.

I will do that for you. However, right now I have a billion tons of homework, a MASSIVE judo comp coming up at the weekend, a massive Science project to finish for an award, I owe a load of posts on all the different sites I'm on, and I'm putting the finishing touches on Blue Fire... essentially, I'm going under, so I might be a while. XD
