BANE
Wet pads made slapping noises as they splashed the water they stepped on. A large wolf made his way through the series of rocks that spead themselves across the water. Expertly and with ease he jumped on them one by one, getting to the other side safely. To any other they would have slipped into the roaring water, but Bane knew these lands well, so he had nothing to fear. With a twitch of his tail the wolf put his nose against the ground. Inhaling sharply bane caught a trace of a lingering scent, one he was well acquainted with. With a satisfied grunt he followed the scent hurriedly, feet placed with precision in order to avoid leaves or foliage that would cause unwanted sound. After a while the scent grew strong, to the point bane could still track it without his nose on the ground. Quietly he maneuvered his head into some nearby bushes, his body low on the ground. Holding his breath, Bane peeked at the other side. His eyes caught them almost immediately, a few meters from where he stood were a somewhat small herd of elk, grazing the grass in a medium sized clearing. It was perfect. It had all the requirements for a good hunt, and Bane could only imagine how much this could feed his tribe. Happy with his find, the wolf weaseled himself out of the bush, trying to keep his noise down as much as possible. Once he escaped the bushes grasp the wolf made a sprint towards the tribes meeting place, in order to put together a hunting party.
As he approached his destination, Bane slowed down his pace into a fast walk and padded into the clearing calmly but to anyone who really knew him could sense the excitement coming off him in waves. He walked towards the center, jumping on the boulder effortlessly and let out a breathy deep bark in order to catch the other wolves attention.
After he felt eyes on him he continued.
"There is a small herd of Elk grazing in a clearing not to far from here. Lots of open space. Follow me to participate in the hunt, I'll accept any of you, not just the hunters."
His voice was loud so it could be heard over the sound of the cascades, and with a nod he jumped off the boulder. With the moist moss pressing gently against his toes the Hunt and War Chief began to make his way towards the treeline.
