Hey, errbody. I've decided to give the alpha thing another go.
name of pack - Cascadia Tribe
description of pack - A central belief of the wolves of the Cascadia Tribe is that no wolf is better or more important than another, that every member of the pack adds something invaluable. The voices of all who wish it will be heard. Respect and trust are not earned in this pack: they are freely given and retracted only in the most outrageous circumstances.
ranks -
[/li][li]Hunters and Warriors - the wolves who specialize in hunting and fighting. Hunters will be expected to fight in battles and warriors will be expected to help provide for the Tribe.
[/li][li]Apprentices - the young wolves (6+ months) who have chosen a path and are learning to hunt and fight, heal, strategize, or maintain good relations with other packs.
[/li][li]Pups - the babies (6- months) whose only duties are playing and growing.[/li][/ul]
location of territory - The montane forest, specifically the area of the Great Bear Rainforest in BC because I'm partial to that region.
sub-boards -

The high ranks (those that will count toward your alpha count) are Chieftain, War/Hunt Chief and Shaman. Pups are the only wolves in the pack who cannot have mates and only wolves who are at least two years old can have pups. Each wolf with a high rank can have up to two apprentices. So if the pack has one Shaman, there can be two apprentice Shamans. With two Shamans, there can be four apprentices. All high ranks will start out with only one position open.
Feel free to suggest ranks, plots, sub-boards, or pretty much whatever.

- Yiska's Shell - This strangely-shaped cave is home to the pack's Shaman. The cave is longer than it is wide, and its two walls angle upward and inward so that the ceiling is interrupted by a foot-wide crack that runs down its length. At one end a small stream pours into this skylight and flows out into the forest beyond. Behind the waterfall is where Yiska makes his den and keeps his herbs.
- Densite - The dens are located at the base of a steep, wooded slope and are deliberately dug among the tree roots, which keep water form seeping into the caverns and help them maintain their shape. Whenever a new wolf joins the pack, the whole pack pitches in to dig the newcomer a den. There is also a larger den, a bit removed from the rest, that is used in whelping season by young pups and their mothers.
