About the Cascadia Tribe

Hello, stranger. You've stumbled upon the territory of the Cascadia Tribe. One of the most, if not the most, introverted and mysterious packs out there, the Tribe is situated among the misty coastal fjords of the montane forest. Due to the tribe's proximity to the ocean, the sun shines only in the height of summer in our territory and light, misty rain falls throughout the rest of the year, which has made the ancient forest dense, dark, and very, very green. Wolves who are new to the area may have difficulty adjusting to the amount of rain the place gets during fall, winter and spring, and to the feeling of being enclosed while traversing the crowded forest floor, but those who were born here can call no other place home. During any given season there is plenty of prey to go around due to the mildness of Cascadia's winters: deer, elk and moose are favorites of the pack, but another, more unique staple of our diet is seafood such as crabs, clams, salmon, and seaweed, which we forage for on the beaches. Cascadia is also a dangerous place to live, though: many other large predators have answered this forest's call. Brown bears, lynx, bobcats, mountain lions, and wolverines stalk the forest, not to mention the large eagles that will defend a stolen carcass with vehemence.

As for the nature of the pack itself, the wolves who join must have a love of ceremonious socialization, songs, stories and friendship without effort. Respect and trust do not have to be earned by the wolves of Cascadia: such things are freely given.

The tribe has a very loose hierarchy:

First, we have the Council, which includes the Chieftain, the Hunt and War Chief, and the Shaman. The Chieftain is the pack's diplomat. He or she handles relations with other packs and is trusted to maintain peace. He or she is also a moderator of debates among the tribe, in case things get heated. Kenai is our current Chieftain. The Hunt and War Chief is the wolf who presides over battles and large-scale hunts. In war it is the Hunt and War Chief's job to make sure that we win battles with as few losses as possible, and it is his or her job to see that the pack is well-fed. This wolf should be both a talented hunter and fighter. Bane is our Hunt and War Chief. Then there is the Shaman. It is the Shaman's job to heal wounds and to appease the spirits. He or she handles all spiritual ceremonies as well. Yiska is our current Shaman. None of the wolves of the Council has a higher rank than any other; it is the Council's job as a whole to make important decisions for the pack.
The rest of the adults in the pack members are Hunters and Warriors. A wolf can specialize in either hunting or fighting, but when necessary, Hunters will be expected to fight in battle and Warriors will be expected to hunt for the pack.
Next are the Apprentices. These are young wolves who are formally learning the skills they will need to serve the pack in life. Each apprentice should have two mentors: one to teach hunting and one to teach fighting, so that the young wolf can decide which path would be best for him or her to take. Each mentor an have up to two apprentices, or as many as he/she can handle. The Hunt and War Chief can act as both mentors to one apprentice, but in this case can only have one apprentice. To teach two apprentices, the Hunt and War Chief must teach only one skill to each wolf. Apprentices to the Chieftain and Shaman must have already graduated to a hunter or warrior before entering an apprenticeship with either of these two Council members. Once an Apprentice learns all there is to learn from both mentors, he or she graduates to become either a Hunter or a Warrior, whichever he or she chooses. An Apprentice is typically two years old before they graduate. Apprentices can take mates but cannot yet reproduce; when they graduate, they can have pups. So to recap, pups cannot take mates or have pups; Apprentices can take mates but cannot have pups; and Hunters, Warriors, Shamans, Chieftains, and Hunt and War Chiefs can do both.
The only duties of Pups are playing, growing, and learning.
We also have Elders, who are too old or otherwise unable to perform their duties. They have given their best years to the tribe and are looked after and respected by all Cascadia wolves.

Remy LeBeau aka Gambit
Is Nia's best friend. Remy LeBeau aka Gambit keeps an eye on her and make sure she doesn't get distracted. He came to Cascadia Tribe in not only to keep on watchful eye on Nia. But because not only can he tell a great story, and for the socialization but because of the friendships within the pack. As of right now Remy LeBeau aka Gambit is with out a pack. Remy LeBeau aka Gambit can not only use both his wings to soar high up in the sky those extra tails of his can help him with seeking out the packs prey.

Why hello there my name is Imp Sorrel.
I wish to become a Apprentice.
I have a bit of knowledge in Rune Magic and I am a happy gentle, friendly 2 year old female and wish to meet some new friends. Why I wish to join Cascadia Tribe is because i think i would do well as a apprentice as i am just learning how to use rune magic. I may be young, But am willing to do what it takes to help out the pack.

I wish to learn as an Apprentice
I was separated from my twin brother at just a few months old. We have not seen each other since. We are able to communicate telepathically and we can sense each others feelings. He tells me that our mother was killed by a bear. We both know that it was suicide. It was because of her death that my father left me to die. I wish to learn to fight and hunt, and survive. I want to learn these things so that someday I might go looking for him. His name was Orthíad and he looks identical to me. That is all I have ever known about my twin, my brother, my only friend.
