Koa wandered around the room, sniffing everything with excitement that was brimmed with irritation. Why was here? Because he let that darned girl bring him inside. He loved being outside, but he sighed and decided this wasn't too bad. Dragging his moist nose against the strange feeling sofa, he jumped up onto the soft cushion, and they didn't agree with his weight. The boards that held the couch upright snapped, sending the white wolf face first onto the floor.

Koa entered the room known as the kitchen. He was tall enough to see onto the counters so he sniffed at anything that appealed to his nose. He stole a loaf of bread the girl had left and ate it quickly, searching for more snacks. Last week she had left out some weird potato sticks. He knew the vegetable because he would dig them up outside and eat them. But the ones he had recently were salty and fatty. He liked them, and so, searched for more. After nosing through the cupboards, a delightful smell caught his attention and he pushed open the pantry door. The smell was sweet, and thick in the air. What was it? Then, he found it and his memory sparked back into the past. His girl had hidden some pills in the gooey delicious stuff and he ate it with relish, not noticing the medicine until it was too late. Well, this time, the jar was closed, guaranteed no pills. Standing on his hind legs, he snatched at the jar of peanut butter but missed and dropped to his feet. It was too high. Determined, he reached for it again, this time dropping his paws on one of the shelves to hold himself up right. And, just like the couch last week, the shelf snapped, and an avalanche of boxes and cans attacked him.
