My skins - an apology and a question

In Spectrum v1 I did three skins for this site - Sunset, Autumn and Blue Fire. Since Spectrum went down and then came back in v2, all the images for all three of them disappeared, because my image hoster deletes images if they're not looked at in a certain time. So all three skins were looking a little bit, uh, problematic.

I had the images for Blue Fire saved on the internet so that's back up, but the only place I had the others' images saved was on my old PC, and my old PC has a few, uh, problems. Namely a virus that means I can't put anything from it on another computer via USB because it'd kill the other computer, and the virus has corrupted the program of my internet so I can't open the internet... yeah. I have a new computer.

So Sunset and Autumn are kind of, uh, down.

I'd like to apologise for being a failure at life, and not having fixed them yet. I will fix them. Honest I will. Just don't use Sunset or Autumn until I fix them, and uh, don't eat me please.

I also want to know if anybody actually cares. See, Forte has this utterly beautiful new skin that's all dark and mystical and beautiful and aaah. If I fix them, will people actually use them, or will they stick with Forte's far superior dark starry skin? Anyone who remembers them from v1 - were they completely stupid, or did ya like them? There's no point in me fixing 'em if nobody's actually gonna use 'em.

Also I'm sorry I'm a failure at life and haven't been very active. I've had GCSEs. I keep telling myself I'll get online tomorrow and then something comes up. Over summer I plan to fix my pack, fix my skins, and do some posting and stuff

what is gcse's I never heard of it..or I did,but don't understand the lettering lol.

I like useing different skins from time to time.I get bored easily so it happens and I am new so I have no idea what skins you had from the past.

I have been useing photobucket for years to store my pics and photos and art.It's a very usefully site and I am glad I had been useing it for a long time.Mostly because someone broke into our house and stole our computer so we lost a lot of stuff on it a lot of pictures,but most of it was on photobucket.

Maybe you could put your stuff on there just incase your computer and stuff acts up again.It's a easy to use site and I love it...plus you can set your stuff on privite or locked if you don't want anyone else useing it.

I LOVE your Blue Fire skin, Accalia! Still! I use it on days when I feel all happy and cheery and get like 8 posts up and feel so accomplished!! (That hasn't been me lately cuz my life has also been failed by me, but anywho...) You should keep that one at the least! I say instead of trying to scrounge up the old themes without headers anymore, you make a new version 2 theme! Of course, I'm one to talk, I ain't got time for like really pathetic posties and I'm telling you to design a skin to rival Forte's. But I know you can; I believe in you! ^_^

I like this new skin but if you're going to make some new ones that's fine. I don't change them that much, although every once in awhile I will move them around. I use Photobucket for my art and stuff like that in order to keep it safe. I also use it for my websites that I'm on too in order to make the backgrounds/site graphics.

Haha, I've been using imm.io purely for convenience.
See, I haven't got Photoshop at home, or anything cooler than MS Paint, because I can't be bothered to buy it. I use www.pixlr.com which works pretty much the same - it's missing the fancy features but I never bother with them anyway. From Pixlr I can save my work straight into the Pixlr Library (which means I can access it from absolutely anywhere, and if it's WIP I can save it as a PXD so it keeps all my layers and stuff, which is useful), or I can save it to imm.io which just immediately uploads it.
Unfortunately most of the time I'm too lazy to save anything anywhere but imm.io, so if it removes it I've generally lost it. Normally that doesn't happen to anything important.

As for GCSEs, they're exams. I live in Britain and over here in our little tea-and-cake-filled island we have a different exam system to America (or wherever y'all come from). You take SATs in Year Six (end of primary school), GCSEs at the end of secondary school (Year 11) and A levels at the end of college (Year Thirteen). If you get confused / can't remember / don't care, I just tell people to think about Harry Potter - that's basically the British school system - primary school up to Year Six and SATS, and then secondary school you get five years for GCSEs (equivalent of OWLs) and two more years for A levels (equivalent of NEWTS). Surprising how useful that metaphor can be.

and I hear ya I use photobucket for like everything I came to fall in love with the site.Gimp is kinda like photoshop,but with me it slows my computer down so I had to delet it..and it was free .

Nah, I don't sound amazing. Or at least I don't think so... haha, British people in American TV/films don't actually sound the way British people really sound, or at least, they usually sound really posh to us. Then again, I probably sound awfully posh to most British people since we speak Queen's English down here... hmmph. I'm guessing you're American, yes?

Nope, I'm in secondary school - Year Ten - taking a couple of my exams a year early 'cause my school has this weird thing where they're convinced I'm smart lol. I'm doing twelve (the normal number is 10, some people take 9, some take 11, you only take more if you take extra ones), English Language, English Literature, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Religious Studies (<--- those are the compulsory ones), French, Latin, Ancient Greek, Mandarin Chinese (I like languages ) and Geography.

and yeah I am american..which I don't consider myself one because I really hate being classified as one because I'm like so against a lot of stuff they do..so makes me feel worthless being called an american.I mean we think we are so much better then everyone else...like a preppy snob..and that just makes me wanna gag,but that's how I see this country anymore..so stupid.lol.

not sure I would like relgious studies unless it was more on the mythology side..which I took in highschool.Took a lot of awesome stuff in highschool.I always wanted to learn more lengos then my own...always been a goal of mine to learn spanish and something else...I like how french sounds and I also wanted to learn jap and chinese..most of what I know comes from moives and my second and 8th grade in school.Also...I like listing to people when they spech there own lengo.Sometimes I feel like that guy from the thirteeth warroir."How did you learn how to speek like us?" "I listened"lol...that's kinda like me.The other day the girl I clean house for was talking on the phone to one of her friends i her lengo which she is indian which I wa skinda ease dropping just to see if I could pick up on what she was saying and come to find out later she was telling one of her friends about me doing privite house keeping and what I do and how much I charge and what not.Which is awesome for me.If I get five house for five days out of the week for 10 dollors an hour.That over 500 dollors a week.Well that's my goal at least.lol

I did think of one website you could use to upload things, Acca. There's a site called Tinypic, you don't need an account and you can upload almost anything to it. Though I haven't used it in a long time since I have a photobucket account. I'm sure you can use that if you need it badly and no one would object to that. But yeah I started using Photobucket after finding it so useful to several sites to upload pictures for avatars and other images to make it fancy. Sometimes I like playing with skins too but I'm not the greatest with them. >>

Yeah, I'm not really looking for a new image host. Thanks for y'all's suggestions though I'm fine as I am because I find imm.io useful and convenient and stuff. It only gets annoying when nobody logs in for months and therefore nobody views the images for months and therefore they get deleted. But that isn't gonna happen again

Uh... Ooh, somebody explained the elementary/middle/high thing to me once, I know this! I think primary school = elementary school, and secondary school is like middle and high school combined. In Britain we don't have two separate schools for middle/high, we just have one, secondary, that goes all the way through Year Seven (you'd call that seventh grade I think?) to Year Eleven.

Posh is like, higher class (usually in a bad way), or snobbish, or fancy and extravagant...

I hated Religious Studies in primary school, but since I got to secondary it turned really interesting. In primary school it's basically learning Bible stories off by heart and remembering which religion believes what, which I found boring and as an atheist I always felt kinda excluded. But when I got to Year Seven I got into a really good school and they teach it more of a 'these people think this, but these people think that, what do you think?' sort of thing. So we have things like euthanasia or abortion or the death penalty and we have to debate about whether we think it's okay, which is Ethics, and then the second part of the course is Philosophy of Religion, which is basically stuff like 'do you think God exists?' and 'do you think there's an afterlife?' and you have to say what different people might argue and explain what you think and why. So it's actually a lot of fun, all about debating and explaining your opinions, and a lot more inclusive as everybody gets to explain their own opinions.

I love taking Greek and Latin since basically we're reading mythology in the original language, which is fun. And I agree that it's just the best feeling ever when you hear somebody talk in another language and you can understand what they're saying. If you want to learn languages you should really take a proper course though. It's really hard to pick things up just by listening. You can get vocab but you never find your feet with the grammar, unless you go live there or something.

Ah, I haven't actually played with skins much since Spectrum v1... but I'm delighted to be picking the skill back up because I love doing it. I don't think I'm ever going to achieve anything to rival that lovely new skin of Forte's but I'm definitely gonna give it a go

Oh ok yeah school years ago used to go from like prek to 6th grade then right to highschool,but it's gotten more stupid over the years like prek to fith then middle school is 6 to 8 then highschool is 9th to 12 grade.

and that is pretty cool.I would hate it since like america you try to talk about not beleiving in god and everyone smites you for it...which is so stupid.Me I don't believe in god.I been through to much shit to believe that"he would never give you something you can not handle"bullshit..that and the bible rules itself out in like everything..like jesus died for your sins so thre for all sins are forgiven,but if you do a sin you go to hell..kinda makes no sence...then you got stupid people out there that make up there own stupid stuff like"oh I can't have gay or bi or lesbian friends because it's against my relgion"blah wtf ever people...so yeah anyways better not get talking about that stuff.I could go on till I'm blue in the face.ha ha.

Honey if I can't learn grammer and stuff right from being an american then I ant going to learn it with a different lengo.Lol that's been my problem for years.I love to write so fuck everyone else and there dumb"your grammer and blah blah blah sucks"yeah I know.You just can't teach english like you can other subjects so that's why I never got it ever...but I like learning new lengos.I want to talk ot not write it..more so...besides being a maid sometimes you run into people who has no translator and don't speak a hair of english at all.Mostly it's mexicans or people from poland ,but on rare incaters it's like indian or something so I find it neat.

lol right it is fun making skins and stuff...can be aggervating after awhile,but it is fun never the less.

My problem here lately is trying to get someone to draw some logos for my site.I really really badly want my friend Z to do it ....she is a peic artist and her stuff would look bad ass on my site.I would so pay her for her art as well.She's the one that made the Phsycoraptor on D.A.
