His face grimaced in disgust. He picked up his forepaw, not quite sure what to do. He certainly wasn't going to lick this vile substance off of himself. Ugh! he said, thoroughly put off his idea of a meal. The birds which had taken flight due to his presence seemed like not such a good prospect now. Wiping his paw on the grass which streamed in front of him, he moved on.
Tyloq didn't understand why the birds insisted upon doing their business above land. Why can't the do it when they're above the water? It makes life more unbearable for the rest of us! he muttered, angrily frustrated. Moving about the endless fields, a cold wind whipped through the air, flashing through his fur, making him shiver slightly. Even after years living here, he still got cold when the wind blew.
The winds icy breath had held him shivering some nights for hours. His white fur didn't really help. If only I were a black wolf, then I could soak up what little sun gets cast down here. he thought sulkily. The only problem was that he was small, white, and held a few grayish-blue markings. His body found it hard to regulate heat, and if it wasn't for his tail, then his paws would have been frostbitten beyond recognition years ago.
Trudging on, he kept his head down, his tail low, and his gate methodical. Although he was a beta, he was still picked on by some of the others because of his size. Today did not feel like a good day.

"Good day to you sir. " Willow the hopeful new leader of Anirniq announced herself. As she came forward, to smell him. "What brings you here?" She wondered. She did not mind the snow. It was a good day to track any prey that might have been around. Her new pack was coming together nicely. And soon there would be a pack meeting. So she could introduce herself as the new leader of Anirniq. As her leader before her had done. Now she was not of course born within the pack. But she had gained the knowlege of a true leader from White magic

(OOC: Remember I edited his entry post to say that he had lived in the pack for a while and had risen to beta. He was not born into the pack though. I'll play him confused and wondering why your wolf acts like she is the alpha.)
Looking up, his face solemn, he saw a wolf, new to him. Instead of answering her questions, which were proposed in formal language, he pondered one of his own, in a, less formal tone. Who are you? he said, face moving to portray a look of bewilderment and confusion.
Looking this wolf up and done, she seemed like any average wolf to him, except for the way she held herself. She stood tall and proud, acting like the alpha. You don't want to be walking 'round here looking like that, missus. The alpha won't be pleased. She'll think you'll be trying to take her rank! he said, trying to explain things to this wolf.
He remembered her question finally, and answer it proudly, standing tall, although even doing so, he only just came to below shoulder height on this Fae. I'm Tyloq, beta of Anirniq. he said smiling proudly. I was really just wandering about looking for a meal, but I managed to scare all the birds away. he sighed gently and looked down at the ground.
Scattered on the ground was a mix of straw colored grass, snow, and bird feathers with poop attached. Not the best place to take a walk but a good spot to usually count on a meal. Not today though. His scent had been blown downwind of the birds, and his failed attempt at stalking had only frightened them more. He was not Anirniq's pride and joy in the hunting department.

Die Pêrel watched from one of the many large patches of snow on the ground here in the tundra as two wolves met and greeted each other. She was half tempted to go see what all the fuss was about, but wanted to see how these two wolves acted around each other.
She was down wind from both of them and she caught the scent of a common pack smell shared between the wolves. How odd. Perhaps they just haven't met each other properly. Die Pêrel thought to herself, thankful that the sun was weak and didn't make her iridescence stand out quite so much. She would just have to hope that neither of them looked her way and wondered why it was that she was spying on them. Not that she was. She had been here for some time. She even watched the poor male scare off his prey. Birds were not easy to catch nor were they ever easy to stalk, but some wolves were quite talented at it. This was obviously not one of those wolves.
As Die Pêrel watched and waited for someone to make a move, she yawned, exposing her solid black mouth against the white snow before laying her head back on her paws.
