odette.
The snow fell like leaves in fall. It seemed it had an endless amount; just falling for however long it wanted. Soft, newly fallen snow was pushed to the side as a she-wolf padded across the landscape. She could be easily spotted, for her bright blue feathers gave a lot away. Not wanting to be found, her feathers recoiled back on her neck. The snow crunched as her small paws were set down on it. Finally laying down, she spread her feathers to create at least, some shelter for herself.
The snow continued falling, covering the little wolf in a white, cold blanket. Her eyes turned to a baby blue color, because in her sleep, she dreamed of her lost family. Dreaming of them caused pain, and loneliness. She didn't like being dramatic, but she really couldn't help it. Waking up, her paws felt numb. A numbing cold she disliked. Her orbs remained blue, as she walked across the snow-covered ground.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,557,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true] | [bg=6A8394] She snapped in her wings. Air took over as it rushed past her face and fluttered the fur around her body. As she dove toward the earth, watching the snowy ground grow closer and closer, her thoughts flew back to what her family was doing; what they would say when they saw her empty bed; how much they'll regret being so horrible to her. Especially her father. She thought with an evil grin, I bet they're crying right now.
Just as the stone-hard-cold-ground was approaching, she opened her wings and felt the air push up on her hollow bones and perfect culmination of feathers and fur. She caught earth with the tips of her claws, slowly descending to her pads and halting. She sheathed her claws, which acted to her like a landing gear. She shook out her cloud-blue fur, her wings flapping until her feathers were, again, all facing the same direction. Once everything was the way it should be, they tucked into the pockets on her back. She smiled as she felt their reassuring weight and as she heard Spyder's call in the distance. The peregrine falcon landed on her shoulder with a light flourish, shaking his wings just as she had. She smiled at him, his weight also familiar and reassuring. Spyder's eyes twinkled, Good to see you too. We are forever Wind Children.
She stretched her legs, bowing to tighten the muscles in her haunches. Spyder flew from her shoulder to the snowy ground below. He looked over at her, signaling that the clearing was deserted. At the flick of her ears, he flew into the nearby grove of trees. She followed leisurely in his flight path, on foot for the gaps in the trees were just large enough for a falcon's wings. She growled, the final note echoing through the frozen forest. Spyder responded in a Gamma note, expressing that the mission was in progress, but not yet completed. She continued on, following the distant flap of Spyder's wings. Finally, Spyder let loose a victorious Alpha shriek and she jogged to his expressed location.
She found him perched on a tall, old tree with exceptionally thick branches. She smiled in triumph, and called to her comrade. He rode down on a breeze and alighted on her shoulder.
"Good work, Spy. Time to get started."
And the two turned back into the forest.
After walking about a league, she spotted paw prints in the snow. She grimaced. Another wolf's presence could ruin the entire operation. She looked over at Spyder, who sat still beside her. He shuffled his wings, Allies are always helpful. She nodded, agreeing. She was confident that this, from the looks of the paw prints, fully-grown wolf was an easily overcome obstacle, perhaps one that could be used to their little team's advantage.
"Scout." And Spyder flew ahead of her, intending to find the threat and identify before contact. Spyder circled around the intruder, crying back to her indentifying the following characteristics: moderate, female, threat level: 3. This was promising. As she trotted into the view of the female, she smiled her childish, convincingly-naive smile. With a cheery tone, she piped up, "Hiya!"
