She stepped between the shadows of the trees, like some sort of heathen fog that slipped between the recesses of the light and dark with some sort of godly ease. Her dull grey eyes searched every inch of the clearing restlessly. The calmness of her body's movements was betrayed by the franticness behind her eyes. She felt like prey, not a bloodthirsty hunter in the night. That's what life under constant watch had done to her. But, tonight, she decided to slip away. Maybe do some hunting; she wasn't sure yet. But it was all designed to let her go somewhere where she could think. To a point, she was dreading it. Thinking meant coming to terms with the things that should remain un-dealt with. But there was an extent to which she couldn't pretend they didn't exist.
I am half mortal. It was near-painful to think about. Mortals were so... bare. They were so defenseless and naiive. It pained her to admit that she was, for the most part, one of them. But she couldn't begin to explain the contradiction inside of her between being mostly mortal and part immortal. Being the latter pained her as well, but not nearly as much as being mortal. Being part immortal was the only thing that still connected her to the wolves she rather just be dead to her. But that was just another thing she had to measure up to.
The wind picked up, spewing dead leaves into the clearing. As an instantaneous reaction, she put up her walls. Her ears clung to her pelt, tail was parallel to the ground, as she streaked to the clearing's edge and back into the shadows. Only her eyes peered from the darkness. A shiver ran through her as the night's cold finally got to her. She realized she was being rediculous over nothing, so she slowly trotted back into the clearing, crystal shining an eerie glow on the surrounding plantlife. Her ears and tail returned to normal, but the tenseness in her body still hadn't faded as she settled back into the long grasses beside the crystal. Despite her best efforts, her grey eyes and illuminated to a purple much resembling that of the crystal. She shook her head, thinking, Control yourself.

A giants world surrounded him. Tall grass, which swayed with the evening breeze, as if being brushed against by the huge paw of a dominating god. The few trees, which provided a dark cape of shadow from the beating sun or the crying moon.
Orthíad felt his own paws, minuscule in comparison to the world around him, swish back and forth, carrying his frail body ever forward. His small pink Tongue, a burst of colour so bright on his grey fur, it seemed out of place, darted out of his mouth to lick his chops. He was hungry, but he ignored the pain which struck his stomach. The pain in his head and memory was far greater.
He was traveling to Ae'chi, the only place where the contact he held with his twin diminished slightly. He had discovered it's powers carelessly one night, while wandering out of camp and arguing with his brother, he had noticed that the closer he got to the strange purple crystals, the quoted and less frequently he heard Dalgon, his twin.
At first, he felt detached, afraid, truly alone in a world full of darkness and fear. He had never felt like that before. Now he understood how great that feeling of being alone could be. His parents had died and left them because of the link. If only they had known of Ae'chi. If only.
He felt the wind, a strong gust, cold like the breath of an icy wolf. It prickles his back, and his head lowered to the ground, ears clinging to his neck, ready to growl at any sudden movements. He could never hope to win a fight, only to intimidate small pups. He was too scrawny to rage war against any wolf his age. Still, with his fur bristling, he looked a bit bigger than he was.
The scent of another wolf was imminent. It was not a welcome guest. Orthíad had planned to make this trip alone. He had not expected another. Almost everyone else was out hunting. There was a chance that this was an invading lone wolf. Orthíad would try to defend his packs territory, the best he could. Even if that meant running, tail tucked neatly between his legs, to find some bigger wolf to fight the battle that he could not.

[bg=ffffff][atrb=border,0,table][atrb=width,399,table] With her eyes spurting a bright purple, her senses at their peak, the approach of the stranger was made known to her. Although her defenses were up high, she could sense that the creature was not-so-threatening; small. The Aurora Caeli Alliance had not yet developed a distinct smell as a pack. Therefore, she could not deduce that this particular intruder was not an intruder at all.
With eyes ablaze, she stood and faced the direction of the intruder, shoulders set and ears alert. She growled menacingly.
"Show yourself."

His eyes whipped around the brush, trying to deduce where the voice had come from. Catching something, he found a pair of purple jewels shinning in the night, as they looked for him to appear. The eyes were set low to the earth, so Orthíad took that to mean that they were of pup-size. Easy-pickings he thought sweetly.
Striding out into the open space, he stood tall and proud, ready to face this small beast. Alright, now you, along with your name and reason for invading Aurora Caeli Alliance territory. If you would kindly oblige to answer all my questions I might let you go with only a few scratches. he said chuckling slightly.
Whipping around in the circle, he found the purple eyes looking at him again, and he beckoned for them to come out using his paw. Come on he thought, wanting to compare his size to this small brutes. For once in his life he wanted to feel big.
OOC: Don't worry, I didn't really provide much for you to ply to in my initial post!

[bg=ffffff][atrb=border,0,table][atrb=width,399,table] She saw a creature step into the light, but didn't relax until she was the form of Orthíad fully emerge. Akin to personality of the young Cirrara-Scirion, he spoke with a confidence unparalleled for his size.
"Alright, now you, along with your name and reason for invading Aurora Caeli Alliance territory. If you would kindly oblige to answer all my questions I might let you go with only a few scratches." Unknowingly, her purple eyes glinted with mischief in the moonlight. Here was as good an opportunity as ever to do some menacing.
"I could do with a few new scratches."
As she knew she would, she lifted a lip and let her snow-white teeth glint in the moonlight. Problem was, she didn't know her eyes looked as ferocious as they did; purple. They weren't supposed to be purple. But she was fired up, and ready for some fun.
But, you know, fun is defined a little differently where she was from.

Orthíad sank low to the earth. He felt a gulp of fear catch in his throat as he attempted to swallow. Her purple eyes glinted venomously. White fangs, sharp and glimmering, protruded from her open mouth. She had grown enormously in size from the pup Orthíad had only moments ago though her to be. He knew who she was; this was Narra, a strong member of the ACA. She found her Tongue more easily than he would ever.
She spoke like a snake, smooth yet dangerous. I could do with a few new scratches. the words seemed to slither from her Tongue, and they bit Orthíad with mental ferocity. A voice, quite and dim, like a dying spark, rose in his head. Orthíad, brother, I feel you. You are scared? Why, what troubles you? said the voice, who was better known as Dalgon, Orthíads twin.
He did not let the fear fade from his face as he answered back. It appears, I may of gotten myself into a fight with a much larger wolf.. he said uncertainly. Dalgon returned, still faint, but Orthíad could detect almost sigh in his brothers voice. You silly ass, what are you going to do now? he said dismissively. Speak of a truce? he questioned jokingly.
Turning his attentions back to Narra, having oft only a brief gap in which she had spoken, in which he'd made himself appear to be thinking. Narra, have you heard of the term, a fair fight? he said, thoughtfully. He looked up questioningly into her eyes. It was going to have to be his wit that he got by now.

[bg=ffffff][atrb=border,0,table][atrb=width,399,table] After her layers of teeth had gleamed in the werelight for a good few seconds, she could tell the little cub was hesitating. At least he knew a threat when he saw one. That was good, he'd stay alive longer that way.
"Narra, have you heard of the term, a fair fight?" Her ears flicked and she replied, "I am familiar."After a slight pause, the end of her tail moving joyfully in the long grasses beside ae'chi, she replied, "but not so much as you hope I am." Her eyes glinted mischievously, still a vibrant violet. She hadn't retreated an inch from her threatening demeanor as before.
She realized whereof she stood, to say the least. She was threatening a young wolf. But it was not for naught, not just senseless violence. Her father may be a fan of the completely unnecessary, but she was not. She knew where to lay the claw and when to observe, and that moment was now.
"Enlighten me."

He felt relieved when Narra ascended to the knowledge that she had heard of a fair fight. This relaxation was quickly replaced by fear almost as soon as the feeling had come. Her smile glinted venomously in the moonlight which shone off her violet eyes and the crystals surrounding them. She asked him to enlighten her on the full meaning of the term. You certainly have gotten yourself into a pickle, haven't you? said his brother dismissively. You could say that. he thought back.
Over the eleven months he had been alive he had developed the ability to keep his face impassive and neutral while talking with his brother. It now came to him naturally, and many wolves in the ACA had no idea he even had the ability. This came in use to him now. He kept his face full of fear at Narra, while he was still joking with his brother in his mind. The funniest part was that she would never know.
So he gulped and tried to explain. Well, a fair-fight is, um, normally described as, um, a fight between two evenly matched, err, competitors. he said, motioning to his petite body, and then to her menacing figure. You see, if we were to fight, I would definitely loose, because you are so much bigger and stronger than me. So, in using the term, a fair-fight, well, we can't fight, as it would not be fair. he finished, still feeling like an ant compared to her.

At the menacing phrase, 'Enlighten me,' she was hardly surprised that Orthíad began digressing from his path. Her opinion of him spiked when he explained to her, regardless.
"Well, a fair-fight is, um, normally described as, um, a fight between two evenly matched, err, competitors." The young Cirrara-Scirion paused between phrases, as if carefully choosing so words so as not to provoke a sleeping beast. Again, her opinion of him continued to improve. "You see, if we were to fight, I would definitely loose, because you are so much bigger and stronger than me. So, in using the term, a fair-fight, well, we can't fight, as it would not be fair." She tilted her head, her menacing demeanor now vanished in all but her eyes. But her eyes were always menacing, it was their nature.
"Fair?" She inquired. She blinked slowly in the dim light of ae'chi. "You do not live in a fair world, dear Orthíad." She rose from her spot among the ferns near ae'chi and walked near the large, glowing stone. "Every opponent you cross, prey you stalk, or obstacle you face will not be proportionate to you. You are young, but I would expect you to know these things." She unsheathed her claws and extended one to the rock's face. She drew one down its surface and heard a pure, clear, resounding note as the motion finished. She paused, thinking briefly on the stone and its purpose, but continued on with a re-invigoration.
"Every creature in this world has strengths and weaknesses. Exploiting them gives you power over them." She turned to the young wolf, stance strong and confident. "What do you suppose mine are?"
